Anton\u00edn Dvo\u0159\u00e1k found inspiration, respite, and sheer joy in the forests surrounding his country home. Biographer Hanz-Hubert Sch\u00f6nzeler observed, \u201cWhen one walks in those forests surrounding Dvor\u030c\u00e1k\u2019s country home on a sunny summer\u2019s day, with the birds singing and the leaves of trees rustling in a gentle breeze, one can virtually hear the music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Also on the program, French composer Gabriel Piern\u00e9\u2019s delightful\u00a0Concertst\u00fcck for Harp and Orchestra<\/i>, featuring our Youth Concerto Competition winner Emma Levasque on harp, and Jessie Montgomery\u2019s moving orchestral tribute to the 200th anniversary of the Star-Spangled Banner, entitled\u00a0Banner<\/i>.<\/p>\n
