Music Librarian for the Bloomington Symphony Orchestra
Job description:
The BSO music librarian ensures that music and scores are budgeted for, purchased or rented, appropriately marked with bowings or other markings, and distributed to the musicians of the orchestra. They also maintains the physical music library, and attend monthly Orchestra Committee meetings.
Time commitment: 10-15 hours per month
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of orchestral instrumentation and repertoire.
- Be aware of copyright laws.
- Knowledge of string bowings markings.
Compensation: $300-400 per month
